Our friends assured me that it was safe and we would have a fabulous guide, Harold Guerrero, who would accompany us on our excursions. I caught my first Pacific Sail, snorkled by the Tortuga Islands, and indulged in delicious ceviche, prepared by our wonderful guide! "This place is one of my favourite in the world. The surf, the yoga, the people, the location, the food… you won’t be disappointed. I stayed in the Delfin cliffside cabin. The view of the beach from the deck is unbeatable. You also have a view of the ocean from the bed. So peaceful. The property itself is gorgeous. You are in the jungle and feel very much with nature. The sunset can be viewed from many spots (including the Delfin balcony), but my personal favourite spot is up at the lookout at La Punta, beside the infinity pool. I did the surf program and the instructors are incredible. A shout-out to Freddy - he is fantastic. He patiently helped me progress from a foam board to a hard board, and my love for surf has deepened. The video analysis is so helpful for improving! Phoenix was one of the yoga instructors on site, and I had wonderful experiences with her. She hosted the cacao ceremony I attended, and it was profound. She also hosted a shamanic journey to find your power animal, and while I was unfamiliar with the practice up until the other day, it was mesmerizing and enlightening. The food - I have no words, other than simply amazing. Fresh, local, great variety; I looked forward to every meal. Muchas gracias to the kitchen staff! Lastly, the people - you will find travellers from all over the world here. Everyone is so kind and so friendly; I immediately felt at ease and amongst people with a similar vibe. It’s easy to meet and connect with people. Lots of solo travellers like myself, but also some friend groups, families, and couples. Although I am leaving today, I already cannot wait to be back. "We were very pleased with our first time in Costa Rica staying at Bay Residences 9F 3 bedroom condo, ocean view. Los Suenos Resort is well planned and maintained. Our ground floor unit was well maintained and clean; comfortable beds and pillows; kitchen has everything you might need; primary bedroom is separate from other bedrooms. The 1100 acre property has a beautiful marina, golf course, 10 restaurants, 24/7 security, well maintained grounds plus close by beach restaurants and grocery stores. There are numerous pools - one right across the street from where we stayed - water was actually warm. The Beach Club pool was fun with a swim up bar with food options. We rented a car but can use Uber as an option to go into Jaco or Herraduras or rent a golf cart. The resort offers many tours as well. We absolutely loved sitting out on the patio early in the morning watching all the birds and listening to the ocean. Was hard to leave."
