"Overpriced, Underwhelming, and Unresponsive - Buyers Deserve to Know\n\nI don't usually leave reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience with One Day Doors & Closets of North Olmsted so others can make a fully informed decision--especially given the premium pricing they charge.\n\nI initially reached out for a simple request: a solid core bedroom and closet door in black. What followed was an emotionally draining process filled with delays, unclear expectations, and a final quote of $1,700--for just two doors--and painting the interior trim wasn't even included.\n\nLet me repeat that: For $1,700, I was still expected to paint the trim myself.\n\nWhat truly pushed this over the edge was their lack of communication. After I emailed to express my concerns and asked if there was any flexibility, I received no response. I gave them every opportunity to clarify or compromise, and they simply ignored it.\n\nFor comparison, I received a full-service quote from Home Depot for $1,374.51, which included everything--installation and painting. I'll be attaching both quotes to this review so you can see the difference for yourself.\n\nI chose One Day Doors & Closets because I was hoping for a more polished, professional experience. Instead, I found myself paying more for less--and being left in the dark when I raised concerns.\n\nThe service they advertise and the service they deliver are not aligned. In my opinion, this felt more like a sales tactic than a customer-focused business. If you're considering working with them, I highly recommend shopping around and comparing what you're really getting for your money.\n\nTransparency matters, and people deserve better than this."

"After 3 separate scheduled meetings. We hired Indianapolis Doors & Closets to replace\nour hollow grained brown doors. Sean told us they were solid\ndoors that he was selling. We went to the showroom specifically to test their weight,\nswing and look at the quality. Their showroom has solid doors but they ordered hollow\ncore doors. After waiting 6 weeks for the order. IDC missed a appointment for install\nwith no call and no show. Once the doors were installed I noticed they seems light.\nSean pushed me to sign a bunch of paperwork after the install\nwhich I regret, and took my final payment of over $6500.00. After the install I began to\nnotice that the gaps under the doors were over 1.5" tall. Large enough to put your foot\nunder. Then I noticed how light they were. The manufacturer tag was on top of the door\nso I pulled it off and it noted H/C (hollow core) and that these doors are made in\nMEXICO!. These doors weighed in at 25 lbs. They were 3 lbs less than the cheap\nMenards doors we were replacing. We called Sean and he said we\nagreed to hybrid core and that is what H/C means. Never heard of this ever before. He\nknew they were hollow and that their showroom had solid doors. We went back to the\nshowroom and he changed out the door that we had chosen with a hollow one. All the\nothers were solid and he said we chose the hollow door! LOL The main reason was to\npurchase solid core doors. We expressed our concerns and asked for a refund. He\nrefused and snaked his way out of every conversation with an excuse. Sea the door\nsalesman ; never express any type of fault or concern that the we (the customer) were\nnot happy. We filed a small claims against him and due to my signing of his iron clad documents we lost the case. Sean hired a lawyer because he could not\ndefend himself. Their entire case was to discredit me the customer. I am a Realtor and\nhave owned over 10 homes and have personally remodeled. If they can scam me then\nyou should run away. The owner Sean has less than two years of experience with\nstarting this company with a background in corporate purchasing.\nAlso these doors are Masonite. You can order the same doors from them and hang\nyourself for 1/2 the cost. They are not digitally scanned; they use a devise with a string\nand a problem to reference the hinge points and widths. All my doors are rubbing\nnow and it's not worth dealing with this type of company. Don't waste your money with Indianapolis Doors & Closets. Hire a pro."
