"One of a handful of breakfast restaurants in Miami County. Brekafast food is hard to mess up, and "Gabe's" does it justice. \n\nServing sizes are really good and quality is average. \n\nI eat breakfast at Gabe's one or two times a month"

"I would probably say this place is more a 3.5, but the service was so kind I pushed it up to 4. Let's start with the good. The front desk area and breakfast area are clean and bright. The staff were really friendly and exceptional at making us feel welcome.\nBreakfast was also pretty decent with Sausage and egg croissants, egg and cheese burritos, waffles with some toppings, yogurt, oatmeal, cereal, fruit, toast, muffins, juice. Honestly one of the better breakfasts I've had at this type of hotel.\n\nThe rooms themselves were A-ok. They definitely could do with an update, paint on the walls cracking, musty smell, tub dripping. But they did also come with a coffee maker with coffee and tea, microwave, and fridge, which was convenient. The bed and pillows were also very comfy!\n\nThey kindly gave us a room near the back of the hotel near the rear entrance, which was very convenient since we had a dog with us. Unfortunately the door did not have a pressure gauge and slammed any time someone went through the door. The first night was a little rough waking us up every time the door slammed. But the second night wasn't as bad.\n\nBut I'll end on a good note, location was very convenient, lots of fast food options nearby if that's your thing. We chose it as it was dog-friendly and not too far from Starved Rock and the areas around it. Everything we needed to reach was within 10-20 minutes which was great! And again front desk staff and management was so great and friendly!"

"This has been a nice to stay but this hotel is really getting old, just like the washcloths and towels. The television didn't work. The countertop was broken. Don't get me wrong, it's still a decent hotel, but it is starting to run down.\nAnd, the taxes are exorbitant. The taxes for a one night stay were over $23. My room total for the night was over $200."

"For the price this hotel is a real bargain. I would stay there again. The room was clean and staying in a pet it was nice and the room was odorless. A chair in the room needed replacing but we did not use it. The bathroom was clean. There was a little peeling paint above the tub but that did bother us."
