Lottery officials said that two lottery players from Illinois are now millionaires after winning Wednesday's Powerball jackpot.

A Powerball ticket worth $50,000 was sold in Manhattan for Wednesday night's drawing, the New York Lottery announced Thursday.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Two tickets for the July 7 Powerball tickets were sold in Kentucky won substantial sums of money. A winning ticket worth $1 million was sold at the Kroger on Starlite Drive in Owensboro, and another winning ticket worth $50,000 was sold at Cox's Smokers Outlet on Westport Road in Louisville.

The winner of a Power Play Match-5 prize, set at $2 million, may be in Lafayette. The winning ticket was purchased at Shop Rite at 3555 North University Avenue, the Louisiana Lottery Cooperation announced. The ticket was sold on Saturday, July 5 during the Powerball drawing.

The drawing took place July 5 and the winner bought the ticket at the Festival Foods on Van Roy Road in Buchanan.
