Austin Hays’ opposite field solo blast to right field ended a scoreless tie in the top of the fifth inning of the Phillies’ 3-1 win at Citizens Bank Park.
After the Phillies acquired Hays last July, he started only 21 of 58 games because of a hamstring injury and kidney infection. But he has found his footing with the Reds this season.
