Biogen has announced plans to invest an additional $2bn in Research Triangle Park (RTP) in the US state of North Carolina. The latest manufacturing investment will support the ongoing development of Biogen's late-stage clinical pipeline.

Biogen will invest $2 billion more in its existing manufacturing plants in North Carolina, the drugmaker said on Monday, as it seeks to expand in the U.S. amid President Donald Trump's tariff threats.

Biogen has unveiled plans to invest an additional $2bn in its existing manufacturing footprint in North Carolina, US. The upcoming investment in the state’s Research Triangle Park (RTP), where Biogen first broke ground in 1995, is aimed at fuelling the “continued advancement” of the company’s late-stage clinical pipeline.
