Ringo is a candidate for the starting cornerback job opposite of Quinyon Mitchell, and had the majority of the first-team reps at outside cornerback when the Eagles were in nickel defense (which Philadelphia runs a majority of the time). The first impression wasn't ideal.
Philadelphia held Day 1 of training camp on Wednesday and some of the highlights include the on-field debut for first round pick Jihaad Campbell
Campbell, the Eagles' top draft pick, has already impressed All-Pro linebacker Zack Baun while Dean remains sidelined.
For the first practice, Campbell was listed as "limited," but taking part in some team drills was an encouraging sign. Zack Baun and Jeremiah Trotter were with the first unit at linebacker, while Campbell and rookie Smael Mondon were with the second unit.
Though this probably means little this early, there was one notable blip on the Eagles depth chart during the first day of camp practice.
