The South Florida home of Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra burned down early on Thursday morning. Spoelstra, 55, could only stand and look at his $6.6 million home burning down on Thursday morning.
Thankfully, Spoelstra was not home at the time and no injuries were reported. The 55-year-old Illinois native was just flying back from Denver, Colorado, for a game against the Nuggets. The team’s charter flight reportedly arrived at 5:11 a.m.; Miami-Dade Fire Rescue received a call around 4:30 a.m. about the inferno.
