More than 130 people are dead after devastating flooding in the Texas Hill Country that began early on the Fourth of July.
More than 2,000 first responders and countless more volunteers continue to search for the missing in Kerr County nearly two weeks after the Guadalupe River rose.
Kerr County reports 3 missing and 107 deaths, including 37 children, post-flooding. Over 1,000 workers helped lower the missing count, and community support aids the ongoing search and relief efforts.
Governor Greg Abbott provided a significant update on the ongoing flood recovery efforts in Kerr County and other parts of Texas.
More than a week after deadly floods struck Central Texas, search and rescue teams are continuing to probe debris for those still missing.
"Our hearts are broken alongside our families that are enduring this unimaginable tragedy," Camp Mystic's update stated. "We are praying for them constantly."
Search crews continued the grueling task of recovering the missing as more potential flash flooding threatened Texas Hill Country.
