The family of Eliotte Heinz, the 22-year-old student found dead in Mississippi River, thanked the community for their support during the search.

Eliotte Heinz, a 22-year-old graduate student in Wisconsin was found dead on Wednesday after going missing over the weekend, officials said.

The graduate student at Viterbo University was last seen in downtown La Crosse around 3:30 a.m. Sunday, according to the La Crosse Police Department.
