Guilford Little League Majors Softball (ages 10-12) has advanced to the New England Regional semifinals after defeating Massachusetts 13-2 on Monday in Bristol. It only took four innings for the Connecticut representative to take down Massachusetts thanks to an eight-run fourth inning that brought the tournament mercy rule into effect.

Maine's Little League champion beats New Hampshire by mercy rule and will play another elimination game on Wednesday.
