Carlos Narvaez gifted the Philadelphia Phillies one of the rarest types of wins Monday, committing catcher's interference to end the Boston Red Sox's extra-innings loss.

The Red Sox dropped their series opener with the Phillies, 3-2 in 10 innings, as Philadelphia came away with the walkoff win despite not putting the ball in play. Two walks, a wild pitch, and a catcher’s-interference call on Carlos Narváez doomed the Sox and spoiled a nice outing by Walker Buehler, who allowed two runs in seven innings.
