A Canadian tourist was seriously injured and hospitalized in south Florida after a shark attack, according to officials.

Hollywood Fire Rescue officials said they, along with Hallandale Beach Broward Sheriff's Office, responded to the 4100 block of Ocean Drive after reports of an individual suffering a serious injury. The man received medical attention on scene and was taken to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
