Dustin Poirier didn't get his fairytale ending at UFC 318 when he came up short in his trilogy bout with Max Holloway.

Poirier had his final fight on Saturday night in New Orleans, in the lightweight main event of UFC 318—a card that was built for him.

"Some of these guys have characters or masks that they wear," Poirier told CBS Sports.
