Footage shows a massive vertical scar on the side of the building - with a huge pile of rubble on the ground. Officials told the BBC that operations are currently ongoing and no injuries have been reported so far. The fire department has called it a "major emergency". The building was located in the Mott Haven neighbourhood of the Bronx.
