The Peconic Hockey Foundation rink director said Wednesday afternoon he hopes to have the town’s permission to reopen the rink on Thursday.

The ice rink dome has been reinflated but the rink is temporarily closed while the operator works to remove remaining ice and snow from the dome and its perimeter.

The bubble dome at Peconic Ice Rinks partially sagged under snow accumulation from Winter Storm Fern and is temporarily closed for repairs.
