Much like human babies and toddlers, small kittens will often make vocal sounds, similar to a child crying, especially during the first few nights after taking them in, as they adapt to the new place.

Just like our children, sometimes our fur babies cry or act out for attention. Even if there's nothing wrong with them, they use their cries to make us come running, and hopefully, cater to them.
