Forecasters say Tropical Storm Lorenzo has gotten slightly stronger in the central tropical Atlantic Ocean but still is not threatening land.
ORLANDO, Fla. – A tropical wave located in the Central Atlantic now has a high chance for tropical development. The disturbance, located southwest of the Cabo Verde islands is producing showers and thunderstorms.
Though we're nearly halfway through October, hurricane season isn't done yet. The National Hurricane Center on Saturday tagged a new area to watch for tropical development.
An area of low pressure in the central tropical Atlantic has now been identified as Invest 97L by the National Hurricane Center, located well west-southwest of the Cabo Verde Islands continues to produce a large area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms.
