On Thursday, Kansas City Royals third baseman Maikel Garcia was confirmed as the sixth player with the franchise who will participate in the 2026 World Baseball Classic. Garcia, a La Sabana, Venezuela, native, will join a team captained by Royals catcher Salvador Perez for the national team event this March.
