An executive order from January continues to be fulfilled following the release of files regarding the assassination of Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr.

The release includes more than 230,000 pages of records detailing the FBI’s investigation into King’s assassination.

On Monday (July 21), the Trump administration released over 240,000 pages of sealed FBI surveillance records of Martin Luther King Jr., which had been under court protection since 1977 when the FBI first gathered the records and gave them to the National Archives and Records Administration.
