Panic and confusion gripped Hawaii on Wednesday after a massive 8.8-magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Russia’s Kamchatka Peninsula, triggering tsunami warnings across the Pacific.

The alleged gunman at a shooting rampage in a midtown Manhattan office building was identified as 27-year-old Shane Tamura, of Nevada.
