Washington Commanders GM Adam Peters made clearthat he doesn’t expect any of that sort of outside conversation to interfere with their real jobs.

Washington retired the name Redskins in July 2020 amid nationwide protests over race, initially becoming the Washington Football Team for two seasons, and then rebranding as the Washington Commanders in 2022.

President Donald Trump is not playing around regarding the Washington Commanders. The Commanders have had a busy offseason, including trading for left tackle Laremy Tunsil and wide receiver Deebo Samuel to bolster one of the top offenses in the NFL from a year ago.
