Organizers expect demonstrations against the "Big Beautiful Bill" and other Trump administration policies in all 50 states.

The protests are part of a nationally organized event timed to mark the fifth anniversary of the death of Rep. John Lewis.

"Good trouble" is a term coined by U.S. Rep. John Lewis, a civil rights leader who, among other things, helped organize the March on Washington in 1963 alongside Martin Luther King Jr. The protests are being held on July 17 because it marks the fifth anniversary of his passing.
