Across the north of the country, including Greater Manchester, a yellow weather warning for rain is in place on Sunday (July 20). The warning runs from 11am to 10pm, as the region will likely experience showery rain, which could sometimes be heavy and perhaps thundery.

The Met Office has issued five tips to follow during a thunderstorm, as the UK is set to face severe weather conditions over the next few days. A yellow weather warning has been put in place from tonight at 12am until tomorrow (July 19) at 9pm for most of England and Scotland, with an amber alert in place in areas of southern England.
