Trent Grisham hit a tiebreaking grand slam with two outs in the ninth inning and the New York Yankees rallied from five runs down to beat the Atlanta Braves 12-9 before a crowd of 42,530, the largest this season at Truist Park.

A high-scoring offense, particularly one that crushes home runs, has a way of putting Wite-Out on a team’s problems. Exhibit A: the Yankees.
The New York Yankees have placed star outfielder Aaron Judge on the 10-day injured list with a flexor strain in his right elbow, an injury he suffered during a 9-4 home loss to the Philadelphia Phillies in Friday’s series opener. Though significant, the injury is less devastating than initially feared.
That’s why Grisham wasn’t in the Sunday’s lineup for the Yankees’ series finale against the Braves after he was a hero in Saturday night’s 12-9 comeback win with a tie-breaking grand slam in the ninth inning.
Aaron Judge is going on the injured list due to a right flexor strain, but his UCL was fine, following imaging taken Saturday.
Although New York still occupies the top Wild Card slot, the Seattle Mariners, Boston Red Sox, Texas Rangers and Tampa Bay Rays are all close behind. If the Yankees do not heed Giancarlo Stanton's words over the next 10 Judge-less games, then they could possibly find themselves at the bottom of that pile.
The Yankees trailed 5-0, 7-2 and 8-7 but came all the way back, helped by two home runs by Anthony Volpe and one by Cody Bellinger.
