🐠 Marina Zurkow's The River is a Circle is our newest Hyundai Terrace Commission, installed outside on our fifth floor. ⛵️ Created for the Whitney's terrace, in collaboration with James Schmitz and Blake Goble, the work engages with both the nearby Hudson River as well as the neighborhood surrounding the Museum. Its software-driven animation presents a view of the Hudson, split in half between the world above and below the water. The animated elements—all hand-drawn by Zurkow and Ewan Creed—ref
