Lions are thriving in Akagera National Park after almost two decades of absence due to human-lion conflict, encroachment, and poaching. Recently, Akagera National Park spotted six new lion cubs in the park that are estimated to be around 4-6 weeks old! Their team suspects that Umwari is the mother of all the cubs, who is one the five original lionesses reintroduced to Akagera in 2015.
